Over the years I've tested most of the tracks for the Sherman, which are commercially available. Personally, I tend not to consider the tracks on vinyl though, I admit that lately have made great strides, especially those included in the last box of Dragon. To this day I remain fatally attracted to those with single mesh that, once assembled, perfectly following the trend of the truck. Among them I got to use those of ModelKasten, AFV, Panda (ex RPHS) and FriulModel. Those with whom I am very well are the FriulModel metal. I must say that even ModelKasten are well made, probably more detailed than the Friul but when it comes to aging stage, I noticed that the bear Friul much better the various solvents that we use in various stages of painting. The procedure I use in the construction of the tracks Friul is:
- First, replace the wire contained in the box with a size larger
- begin with mesh assemble no more than ten at a time with a
- widen the drill holes where I'll place the wire
- Once the United ten meshes with the fixed wire with a drop of cyanoacrylate
- Removing the piece of excess wire with wire cutters
- Once the number of links that make up the track join the various sections of ten links that I have already assembled. To compose a track of this Sherman I had to assemble 78 mesh
